Candidasa :
Less Than a km beyond the turn - off to Tengganan and about 13 km before
Amblapura the road runs right down to the coast at Candidasa . In 1983
it was just a quiet little fishing village but two years later a dozen
losmen and half a dozen restaurant had sprung up and this was suddely
the new beach place in Bali .
Just beside the road, at the lagoon, there's a temple built
up the hillside . The fishing village , just beyond the lagoon , has colourful
fishing prahus drawn up on the beach . In the early morning you can watch
them coasting in after a night's fishing.
Amed and Tulamben

Are alternative destination in east Bali . Amed
is a quiet resort town which offers simple losmens , a couple of small
and snorkling .
Tulamben is even quiet and
populer with local diver . A shipwreck and drop-off accessible from the
beach offer easy access to a colourful underwater world . Diving course
are also available.
